The hand-feel of this yarn-dyed check is incredibly soft for a 318 gsm wool—no itch at all. I’m using it for a winter skirt; the 57-inch width gave me plenty to work with. It drapes beautifully without being too heavy.

I’ve been looking for a wool fabric that feels substantial but not scratchy, and this one’s softness surprised me. The 318 gsm weight gives it a nice drape for a structured coat, and the cream-and-gray check is subtle enough to pair with almost anything.

The check pattern is beautifully crisp in person, and the 146 cm width gave me plenty of room for my project. I ordered just half a meter but the 318 gsm weight makes it feel substantial enough for a structured jacket.
