HeatnBond Ultrahold Iron-On Adhesive

HeatnBond Ultrahold is a strong, double-sided iron-on adhesive designed to permanently bond fabric and other compatible materials without sewing.

The heat-activated adhesive is backed with release paper, making it easy to trace, cut and position your shapes before fusing. Once activated with an iron, it creates a strong no-sew bond between the materials.

HeatnBond Ultrahold is ideal for appliqué, crafts, home décor, fabric embellishments and other no-sew projects. It can also be used with a variety of compatible materials, making it a useful addition to your sewing and crafting supplies.

Unlike sewable lightweight fusible webs, Ultrahold is specifically designed when a strong permanent adhesive bond is the priority.

Important: HeatnBond Ultrahold is a no-sew adhesive and is not recommended for projects that will be stitched through after fusing, as the strong adhesive may gum the needle.

How to Use

    1. Prewash fabric without fabric softener and allow it to dry completely.
    2. Preheat your iron to the appropriate setting for your fabric.
    3. Place the adhesive side of HeatnBond against the wrong side of the material and press according to the manufacturer's instructions.
    4. Allow the material to cool, then peel away the paper backing.
    5. Position the material onto your project with the adhesive side down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does HeatnBond Ultrahold require sewing?
No. Ultrahold is designed to create a strong permanent bond without sewing.

Can I sew through HeatnBond Ultrahold?
It is not recommended. Ultrahold contains a strong concentration of adhesive that may gum up your sewing machine needle. For projects that will be stitched after fusing, a sewable fusible web is a better choice.

Is HeatnBond Ultrahold machine washable?
Yes. Once properly applied according to the manufacturer's instructions, the bonded project is machine washable.

I’ve been using this to hem a bunch of curtains and it’s holding up great after two washes already—the 43 cm width made it super easy to cover long seams without piecing strips together. Just wish I’d found it sooner for all the mending I’ve been putting off.

Sebastian ★★★★★

Was dreading fixing my daughter's ripped jeans since I don't own a sewing machine, but this iron-on adhesive held strong after three washes already. The 43 cm width made covering the large tear simple.

Jason ★★★★★

Used a full width of this to patch a ripped canvas tote and the bond held through a trip to the laundry, no fraying at the edges. Ironed it on in about ten minutes with a cloth over it, and the 43 cm width meant I didn’t have to line up multiple strips. Even after a few washes, the fabric feels stif
